BECCA Love.

As the weather gets warmer and we are all looking towards summer again my makeup always feels like it needs a change. I fell in love with the BECCA models photos from their website; I just adore the beachy, bronzed "I'm not wearing makeup but look how amazing I look" vibe. I knew I needed some BECCA to give me the effortless makeup I desired for spring and summer.

I ordered from Space NK online, and managed to get my hands on five items and I have to say I love them all. They've been smothered all over my face pretty much since they arrived in February. Sounds attractive doesn't it? Well it is! Read on!

1. BECCA Bronzing Skin Perfector -£28

This is a bronzing primer, but honestly in the summer when I have a bit of colour I can see me using this as a casual "no make-up" base. It gives a lovely hint of colour, but as you can see it can be used on fair complexions. I've tried it when I've been tanned too and it just gives a perfected bronzed look to skin. So much so I've been skipping foundation on good skin days and just pairing this with concealer and the beach tint. It is shimmery but I've not noticed it in daylight at all. A more matte and affordable dupe is the Bourjois bronzing primer!

2. BECCA Beach Tint in Grapefruit -£20

I have pursued these many times in store before but didn't see where they'd fit into my routine. I like a powder blush since I'm an oily gal, but I thought this could be cool for summer bronzed skin (I was highly under the influence of the BECCA promo photos I will admit). But my risk paid off and I've been getting lots of use out of this. It's a lovely peachy colour which can be built up or left sheer. It doesn't feel greasy or sticky and smells like... Grapefruit!

3. BECCA Lip Gloss in Pink Lotus -£18

I am a lip product junkie so I like to try brands lip offerings to gauge their quality. This gloss is awesome! It's super neon coral in the tube but one coat gives a brightened natural gloss to the lips. Two coats gives more of the neon colour. It's balmy in texture and so doesn't last particularly well but I don't mind reapplying when the tube is so pretty!

4. BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal -£30

This is cult and probably needs no introduction! It is a gold champagne highlighter, with a lot of pigment so go lightly! When I'm fairer I find it can give me a gold moustache if I use it on my cupids bow too heavily (always a chic look) and I prefer it when I'm a bit tanner. But even when fair I can use it on my cheeks and nose and it can be used very lightly to give a natural sheen. Of course if you love BAM HIGHLIGHT!! kind of highlighters it fits that bill too!

5. BECCA Mineral Blush in Wild Honey -£26

I am a neutral blush fiend but I couldn't resist. Didn't need this at all as it is similar to Nars Madly which I already own but I still see it as a valuable addition. It's a bit more orange than Madly, and matte. I like it to add a sun kissed look to my cheeks and nose, which looks so natural it's as though I've been in the sun!

So they are my five new loves and I am getting plenty use out of them all! In the photos below ive swatched them in natural light and flash.

L-R: Bronzing Skin Perfector layered & blended, Beach Tint in Grapefruit dotted on and blended, Lipgloss in
Pink Lotus, Mineral Blush in Wild Honey, Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal.

My photos in this post show all the products on my face in natural lighting (except the lipgloss). Very natural huh?

Let me know your thought on BECCA. What other brands make you think of summer and warm weather?
